Reductil

Reductil (sibutramine) is a medicine that belongs to the class of appetite suppressants and is used to help obese people lose weight. This drug should be used only in combination with reduced-calorie diet and regular exercise, as otherwise there is a risk it is not going to be efficient. Your health care provider will need to check your blood pressure regularly to make sure this medicine is working right for you and is not causing any dangerous side effects. If you lose less than 4 pounds in the first 4 weeks of the treatment, talk to your doctor, as some changes may need to be made to your treatment schedule. Mild side effects of Reductil can include any of the following symptoms: flushing, flu-like symptoms, heartburn, change in appetite, back pain, constipation, insomnia, runny nose, headache, painful menstrual periods, nervousness, dry mouth, and weakness. More serious side effects will need to be reported to the doctor that prescribed Reductil. Let your doctor know if you have any particular medical conditions (such as depression, seizures, history of gallstones, liver or kidney disease, history of heart attack or stroke, heart disease, any bleeding disorder, underactive thyroid, high blood pressure, or glaucoma) or if you are taking any other medications, especially such diet pills as phendimetrazine, benzphetamine, methamphetamine, or phentermine. These factors can affect the quality of your treatment.
